Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the loan move of central defender Xolani Cossa to Gomora FC, a club competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship (PSL’s National First Division). The 22-year-old, a product of the Chiefs’ Youth Development Academy, will spend the season at the Gauteng-based side to gain regular first-team experience before returning to the Glamour Boys. Cossa joins teammate Sfiso Tim, who also recently moved to the Gauteng-based side, with both players set to enhance their skills in the second tier. The club emphasized that the loan will help them develop into more mature footballers ready to contribute to Kaizer Chiefs’ future success.
Additional Loan Moves to NFD Clubs
Kaizer Chiefs have sent a total of five players on loan to NFD clubs, including two senior squad members and three Academy prospects. Midfielder Samkelo Zwane and goalkeeper Bontle Molefe will join Hope FC in the Motsepe Foundation League. From the Youth Academy, Ofentse Kgosana and Vicky Mkhawana will play for Real Natives in Mpumalanga, while Sfiso Simba remains in Gauteng with Gomora FC. The club highlighted that these moves aim to provide valuable exposure for players seeking consistent match minutes. The loaned players will now prepare for potential call-ups to the Amakhosi squad next season.
