Kgaogelo Sekgota, 29, has finalized a two-year contract with Egyptian Premier League side Petrojet following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs. The winger, who joined the Suez-based club a week ago, is adapting well to life in Egypt ahead of the 2026-27 season. His agent, Andrew Matjila, confirmed the move, stating Sekgota is eager to embrace the new challenge. 'He’s happy with the move and has been very well received by the club,' Matjila said. 'He’s settling in, getting to know Egypt and looking forward to the opportunity ahead.' Sekgota, who previously played for Siwelele FC, Stellenbosch, and Kaizer Chiefs, will debut for Petrojet in their opening match of the campaign against Asyut on Saturday, 21 August. The Egyptian league season began on Friday, 21 August, with Petrojet set to host Asyut in their first fixture.
