Tickets for the Soweto Derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates sold out within a day of going on sale. The match is scheduled for October 31 at FNB Stadium, the 94,000-seat venue that hosted the 2010 World Cup final.

Stadium Management South Africa confirmed the sell-out, stating all 63,680 tickets allocated to the general public were gone by Tuesday evening. Orlando Pirates also announced the news via their social media platforms. The remaining tickets are reserved for sponsors, and supporters are strongly advised against buying tickets on other platforms to avoid fakes.

Ticketing is exclusively digital through the MyTicket app, with no physical sales. Parking tickets must also be purchased via the app, as vehicles will not be allowed entry without one. For those who secured tickets, transport add-ons are available. Adding Gautrain return bus transport costs an extra R25, making a Level 1 or Level 5 match ticket R165 and a Level 2 ticket R225. The Rea Vaya return transport option adds R60.

Premium hospitality packages are still available through the app and SAIL. The Premium Viewing Lounge package, priced at R5,795 per person, includes a match ticket, access to a staffed lounge with a three-course buffet and premium bar, and one parking ticket for every four hospitality tickets bought. The non-viewing Goldrush Dome package offers reserved stadium seating, exclusive dome access, a buffet meal and bar service, and is priced at R5,395 per person excluding VAT.

The derby comes as Kaizer Chiefs sit fourth in the Premier Soccer League with 14 points from eight games. They are nine points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and face a Pirates side currently second in the standings. The Amakhosi are unbeaten in their last four league outings, a run that includes three draws and a win. Their most recent result was a 1-1 draw with Stellenbosch last weekend, where Mduduzi Shabalala scored his second goal of the season. The club's official data shows the team has scored 7 goals in 8 matches, averaging a goal every 103 minutes. Following the derby, Kaizer Chiefs will next face TS Galaxy away from home on November 2.

Fans are urged to secure any available seats early through the official MyTicket app before the remaining sponsor tickets are allocated.
