Kaizer Chiefs FC's Jimmy Jambo has emphasized that the upcoming Toyota Cup between Kaizer Chiefs and Zimbabwe's Scottland FC should act as a bridge to unite all Africans. Speaking to the media after the Toyota Cup launch on Tuesday afternoon at Naturena, Jambo, who hails from Zimbabwe, highlighted the importance of embracing the late Nelson Mandela's belief that sport has the power to bring people together. Jambo, now a youth coach at Kaizer Chiefs, also expressed enthusiasm about the quality of the game ahead. He believes it will be an exciting match, with Scottland FC bringing momentum and experience, including former Chiefs players like Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona. Jambo wants to commend Toyota for initiating this event and including a Zimbabwean team, especially given the current climate with movements like 'Operation Dudula' and 'Abahambe'. He hopes that this game will help Zimbabweans and South Africans to be together and fight for one goal, which is to fight what has been happening currently. Jambo also remarked on the recent resurgence of Zimbabwean football, crediting Honourable Scott Sakupwanya for his efforts in revitalising football in Zimbabwe and bringing the team back into the spotlight.
