Despite this success, the club management opted not to renew their contracts, which are set to expire at the end of June. Former Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has come out in support of the management's decision, emphasizing their long-term vision for the club. Akpeyi stated that management has a clear strategy to restore the team's former glory and believes they will find a suitable replacement to lead the team forward. As Kaze and Ben Youssef exit, reports suggest that Kaze may soon be appointed head coach of Sekhukhune United, while Ben Youssef is linked with a move to Durban City.
